Description
In the book there is plenty of description. On page 7 and 8 there is a description of Dill; what he was wearing and how he smiled. The author used this in this section because it shows how Scout saw Dill because she liked him.
Pacing
The story is written in a time period of about four years. This also shows how the characters grew up and changed like chronological order.
